ICoM development:
We just purchased the church and will be taking passion on Feb. 1, 2023. I think it will take about 2 months to get things set up and ready to open the church to the public. We are looking to have the grand opening in April of 2023.
The nave (Concert venue) will be used by local music teachers as a place to have recitals for their students. For local groups to give concerts, ICoM hopes to provide small ensembles for local young musicians like clarinet quartets, & choirs, flute quartets & choirs, even brass groups that might not be available to young people through their schools.
In addition to the concert venue (Nave) the church will feature a small music store called “Praise the Lord Music” (www.praisethelordmusic.com) all the profits of this store will go to help provide disadvantaged deserving young people with musical instruments and instruction.
*Praise the Lord Music is owned by the International Chrch of Music as a part of how we finance our church. Praise the Lord Music has an agreement with Rheuben Allen allowing them to sell Rheuben Allen & Kenny G products.
